Step 5 of 6

Name your film

Give your film a title and choose its frame shape. Check the organization that will own the project. Click CONTINUE to save the project and move on.

The first page of the New Project wizard: the AI filmmaker chat on the left saying Name your film and pick its shape; on the right a Title field, three frame-shape cards (16:9 TV selected, 9:16 Mobile, 1:1 Social Media) with More, the For Organization dropdown, and yellow CONTINUE buttons at the top and bottom.

What this page is

This is page 1 of the New Project wizard. The newest design titles it Start Project; the picture above shows its earlier name, Project basics. It asks for the few facts every film needs before anything is written or generated. Nothing on it costs credits.

  • Title (required): the name of your film, series or video. A working title is fine; you can rename it later. The … beside it holds an optional short name.
  • Frame shape: the aspect ratio every shot will be generated in. The cards show your title on a sample frame so you can see the shape.
  • For Organization: who owns the project. On a new account this is your personal organization; pick a team's organization if you were invited to one.

The picture also shows a Project type field. Newer versions drop it and keep the type you picked on Home; if you see it, check that it matches.

Your decision: the frame shape

16:9 (TV) for a film, a series or a YouTube video: anything watched on a TV, a laptop or in a theater. 9:16 (Mobile) for vertical video: Reels, Shorts, TikTok and mini-dramas. 1:1 (Social Media) for a square feed post. More holds the wider and squarer cinema shapes, such as 21:9.

Choose with care: the shape sets the composition of every shot, so it is hard to change once shots exist.

The AI filmmaker on the left can do this page for you. Tell it your film's name and where it will be watched.

Why you go to the Script page next

CONTINUE saves your project. Every film starts from a script, so the wizard asks next how yours will arrive.
